Please stay away from the travel smart vip.
On the last day of our trip to Punta Cana
Royalton we got succer into buying the membership.
Send the letter to cancel within 5 days as per contract -they are refusing to accept.
They are asking for reasons why I want to cancel and they want to keep the closing fees of $991.00 which is no where in the contract.
I am in process of talking to the Dominican Republic of turism in Toronto.
This company is nothing but a scam.
If you have similar issue please let me know

After reviewing my contract, I realized that some facts were never mentioned. Now I am having a truly difficult time cancalling.

We had the exact same thing happen. On vacation in the Dominican with my wife and two kids and we're also sucked in.
After reading all the awful reviews I am horrified and went back to the office to try and cancel. Of course they told me no one was available to cancel. She told us would cost me 4 grand to cancel the contact.
She tried to se us on another package that I don't want and said they would contact us on Monday after the five day grace period is up (of course). If have any advice on the best way to cancel please email me at jonathanricelandscaping@***.net

we are having problems with travel smart. We went to Cancun Mexico and was pressured into buying into travel smart we are not sure how to resolve this problem if you have any advice to help us that would be great.
We are being Charged extra charges and they have told us lies.

WE WERE SCAMMED INTO BUYING THE MEMBERSHIP GOLD STRAVELSMARTVIP membership -
we were on vacation at the royalton cancun - the membership gold prime 300 for 30 years originally was 72,000US and
after a lot of pressure and the time spent negotiating the price was brought down to 36,000 Canadian dollars-
first payment right now on visa of $5400 , next month $5400, third mont $7200 and
the rest $18000 will be $750.00 for the next 24 month
we are seniors and they took full advantage of us. We signed up for the membership when they started offering 900 000 smart point 30000 every years plus additional one vacation for free,6 special week and 6 bonus weeks ocean view room while we were there and many other perks.
told us when book with them, we will receive vip service, pick up a the airport I guess we were trapped and fell for their lies. However after signing found out that it was all lies. We tried to book a free vacation as per the contract and was very hard to book , so we decided to cancel after 6 month and i now that they will give us nothing back.. can believed sunwing let those people (TSV) in there resort.
i guess i won't travel for the next 6 years.
you have to pay to learn. cost me a lot of money for nothing
Same thing happened to my family :( we live in Toronto, Ontario! Screw Sunwing (a Canadian company), travel smart and royalton!
They think they can scam us for money and get away with it, but karma will hit them when they least expect it. They are the biggest liars and scammers!
I have same issue right niw in mexico, they r strong arming me, did u get out of it, they have attached a free offer to my contract and r saying I have to pay for that, as it cost them to sign me up

Travel Smart if you really want to help and be honest you wouldn't tell lies. I have been scammed and lied to.
I contacted the person that sold me this scam from Royalton in Mexico and he was rude and said he will send his lawyers after me. "His name was Pepe".
I would like a full refund. If your such a great company you will honor that.

Did yiy pay with a credit card? If you really did everything in the contract within the timeline they should help you. Make sure you save all your reciepts.
