I was at the memories grand Bahamas resort, where my boyfriend and I as well as my best friend and her boyfriend was scammed first they lure you in by saying just for going to their invitation only presentation you get a free trip to Jamaica so we went and they give this 90min presentation on how they can give you all these great discounts on trips and airfare and they can save you and your family money for years to come with there vacation club scam and we paid $1525 as a down payment and then recurring payments were to come out the account once we recd the contract and reviewed it we sent a request to cancel where the lady said our refund is being processed but yet to see any funds returned I'm now going to my bank to file a dispute and get our money back and I wish I had of went with my first instinct and said no but they made it seem like you were going to get so many great deals liars liars so please don't even give them the time of day just walk matter fact run away

Hello,

My wife and I are mortified at this point, we are int he same boat.....I've read the feedback here and I am definitely taking issue. We never gave them our credit card or nothing about our finances, but instead, we did sign something for them to open up a credit card, in which they took 13,000, and now we are paying that money back......I'm going to fight this to the bitter end.

I am in the same predicament. Paid the for the trial package in full and have not seen one benefit from Travel Smart VIP.

I've been in contact with the contact centre and through social media with no results. I'm so frustrated and scared. I would love to know how I can get a full refund as soon as possible.

I'm going to re-read the contract and see how it's possible to cancel but any additional assistance would be appreciated!

The only way to get your money back is through your bank/ credit card company. Show them how many people are scammed by untrue promises and that Travel smart are using the name of Sunwing that is a Canadian company, pretending they are part of their company.

when we contacted Sunwing they said, we need to speak to Travel Smart. We cancelled our contract before the 7 day as is written inntheir Clause 7, we got some of the money back on the 15 business day, but they still own us 25% of the amount. i filed case with VISA and they are dealing with them now. They assured me I will be refunded, except the USD 395 fee that is an administrative fee, because is written in the contract that is non- refundable.

Total scam.

I hope you get your money back, but I did not contact Travel Smart anymore, they avoid answering any questions. We need to report them to higher level, the press, government, etc, otherwise, many other naive tourist will finish their well deserve vacations crying.

Hi, did you receive back your money, we are in the same position, cancelled right away after realising it is a scam, but probably too late? Thanks for sharing.

If we would take the night to decide away from them, I would have research the blogs online and not sign. They have some tactique to make people stay and listen and show us how nice a bargain they give, so *** I feel now. These people are well trained how to scam otherwise I am never willing to even listen to such presentations.

They take advantage of people in good mood coming on vacation, trusting they will be in good hands. The hotel is also involved somehow.

Hi guys we are in the same situation and did cancel our contract the way we were told, by writing on a piece of paper that we want to cancel. They brought some third party from the Ministry of tourism, that did not show her credentials, and she received our cancelation.

I also sent by email a cancelation request to vipconcierge@***.com and they replied that my message is forwarded to the management and someone will contact me, nobody did so far. We contacted our bank and they said to do as we are told and write the cancelation and if in 15 days the refund is not received, Visa will step in to obtain it.

This Travel Smart people are very well trained how to get naive tourists to give them their credit card, they are nice and friendly, gave us champaign, total scam, they were like 3-4 different people coming talking, offering lower price, and insist into getting the deal closed the same day... I cannot believe we signed, usually we never do such thing, somehow they did something to me and my husband to make us give them our card....

We ar still in the rsort, Memories Bahamas, this is the worst vacation ever and the resort is terrible, Sunwing post it as 4,5 stars but it is not even 3 stars value.
